Monthly Residential Large Item Collection - On your collection day:

Scrape wood, carpet and drywall must be bundled 92cm (3') in legth and weigh less than 23kg (50lbs). Nails must be removed |

The following items are NOT collected curbside at any time:
* Batteries, chemicals, paints or propane tanks
* Car or automotive parts, tires
* E-waste (computers, VCR's, monitors, stereos)
* Glass or mirrors
* Pallets
* Cardboard boxes full of garbage and/or recycling
* Mixed piles of waste, unbundled, or loose garbage
* Concrete, fence posts or railway ties
* Construction, demolition and renovation materials
* Liquid waste

Garbage Collection
Effective January 1, 2002, garbage collection became a service provided in the Township of
Wellesley. While the fee for this service is included on you tax bill at a rate of $80.00 per year,
it is actually the Region of Waterloo who administers the service and hires the contractor. For
more information you can visit the Region of Watelroo Waste Management website.
Blue Box / Recycling Program
The Blue Box / Recycling Program is administed by the Region of Waterloo. it is a service provided
to the entire Township of Wellesley, being part of the region of Waterloo. All inquiries should be directed to the Region of Waterloo Waste Management Reduction Co-ordinator John Strik.
If you require a blue box, they are available free of charge at the Crosshill Transfer Station.

HOURS OF OPERATION:
Thursday - 8:30am to 4:30pm and Saturdays - 8:00am to 4:00pm
