| Animal Control |
The Township of Wellesley Control By-law deals with dogs only. We need full cooperation from residents in keeping dogs under control and on your property. Especially important is to fasten the dog license securely to the collar as these tags identify the dog and the owner can then be notified immediately. Within 21 days of becoming a dog owner, you must register each dog with the Township of Wellesley. These licenses are issued by the Animal Control Officer, Evelyn Hahn at a cost of $15.00 per year. Licenses can also be obtained at the Township Office in Crosshill. A $5.00 rebate is available for those with veterinarian proof if neuturing or spading if brought to the main office. Licenses must be obtained by April 15th of each year. A maximum of three (3) dogs may be kept per property. If you have lost or found a dog, or require a license contact Evelyn Hahn at 519.698.2915 or at the email address above. License Application Kennels - to view the By-law and fees |
